Vermont River House

River House has beautiful views of the Winooski Falls and is part of Burlington's historic mill neighborhood. It's a 10 minute walk to the Winooski Circle which is full of restaurants and activity. Downtown Burlington and Lake Champlain are a 10 min drive away. This unique, arty, brand new loft space includes hardwood floors, a small kitchen and bath, and a shared outdoor space. River House is a good fit for couples, close friends, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

The space

River House was built in the summer of 2017 with its historic mill neighborhood in mind. The original house dates back to the 1890s and you'll see many historic details in the new space such as photos, maps and books. There are funky, arty touches around the house including large paintings and some smaller works by local artists. The house is stocked with all the comforts of home and we hope your stay here will be restful and that you will get a chance to explore the neighborhood.

River House is permitted and inspected by the city of Burlington.

Guest access

The guest house is entirely private and is attached to our single family home. We share a backyard and we might cross paths in the foyer outside your front entrance.

Interaction with guests

I work from home and am happy to provide local info or help with any special requests.

Other things to note

Please be aware that there is some traffic and airplane noise, as well as the occasional military jets. We live in a busy part of town but River House is a little oasis.
